I'm so happy. The big silk thing at the end is just gorgeous! I love the colors, they're soft and pretty, and the size is just overwhelming. I wish I wouldn't be behind a prop when it came out- I want to see everyone's faces in the audience! Especially because we already had a good ending, I don't think anyone's expecting us to change it, so it'll be a shock for people that've seen us before to suddenly see a new ending. Woohooo!

Well, ladies. This is our last official practice tonight. I'm going to actually miss it. I always do...I don't know if I'm going to miss this year as much as last year do to all of the crap this year: stealing, jealousy issues, rude comments, more drama, disrespecting captains, etc. I promise it will all be better next year. + )
Well...I hope.

But winter guard rules sooooo much, so I can't wait.

YAY!

mood: contemplative
last night was fun. a bunch of kids played halo and i played dance dance revolution. The kids that played it and i were really gettin into it. it's super addictive. i left my sunglasses there though, and almost freaked out later when i coulden't find them.

my legs are still sore, i got up, got ready and it was pouring by the time i got to the school. By then i realized i had forgot my water on top of losing my sunglasses. warm-up, boarded bus went to memorial gym to practice. that was crappy.
went back for lunch, dad brought me mc'donalds, so it was fucking fab, and lunch was really flippin hilarious with om and vivek. lots of drill. I hit lots of kids. I got real pissed for a minute. and pretty embarassed when they gave me advice over speakers. forgot half the work, and forgot where i was supposed to move from page 11 to page 16, i wasen't painted because i was on the edge of a tarp, but i figured out i was behind a triangle of three band kids.

later...

jessi and i go to dollar store. i buy

a pair of stretchy pants for guard.

black mary janes with oriental print and fleece inside

black short ankle socks that dont show dirt.

for a toal of....14.84

sweet.

06:04pm 03/08/2004
my legs are screaming. i got burned a little today. lots and lots of flagwork, too much for one day. but its really neat, well most of it, some is ugly. worked on drill without band, which was much more comfortable. more leg work with billy, which was hell, my legs are so sore.( jazz runs, walks) lunch was good, especially the thorough discussion on boobs. last part of day, drill with band, we did ok.

wow, i can't hardly type. this is crazy nuts. Started day with basics. Billy is pretty cool. i laugh everytime he says " that is incorrect" and he says it so much its hilarious. I stretched out a lot. The flagwork is real tricky, but it looks so cool when old kids do it, they pick it up pretty fast. Lunch was ok, it went pretty fast. after that we went outside and had our places marked and did some flagwork and formation stuff with band. i was on page 8 though, and instead of moving 16 counts forward, i moved sixteen counts backwards and ran into people. It was pretty stupid. and james didn't make it any easier by shouting incredibly stupid things at me. whatever, im so tired.
